RCI completed this major renovation in 2008. The existing home was constructed in 1916 and was in need of a major facelift. The had been several additions to the rear of the home over the years. The owner used the original space as a porch/storage area. Over the years, due to the poor construction and lack of maintenance, the porch floor sagged approximately 2"-3". RCI completely gutted the rear of the home from the basement to the ridge pole. The floor system was completely rebuilt and the area was reconfigured to include a new three piece bathroom, laundry closet, sun room, storage closet and mud room. Much attention to detail was paid to match the style of the existing home including custom mill work for the interior trim, matching the existing interior doors and having custom 1 1/4" red oak strip flooring made to mimic the "old" floors. This project took approximately two months to complete.
